US wants to inflict maximum harm on Russia – analyst

The United States did not expect to inflict a “death blow” on Russia, their objective was to inflict as much damage as possible. Alexei Zudin, a lecturer at the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Moscow State Institute of International Relations, said this on Sputnik radio, FAN reports.

The political scientist believes that neither the United States nor its partners in the North Atlantic Alliance initially set themselves the goal of inflicting a catastrophic defeat on Russia. However, now their true intentions have started to come out into the public arena.

According to Zudin, there is no reason to believe that these wishes will come true. The United States plans to keep the conflict in Ukraine going, albeit in a frozen form.

The expert pointed out that the United States also ignores the most important component of military, political and geopolitical reality. Washington ignores the factor of Russia, its strength and determination during the special operation, the political scientist stressed.
