Vinicius faced the fans who attacked him, and the game stopped for 10 minutes, then he faced Valencia players and was sent off in the second half.

Vinicius wrote on Twitter after the match: “It was not the first, second or third time. Racism is usual in the Spanish League. The competition management considers it normal. The Spanish Federation considers it as normal and the competitors encourage it.”

He added: “The championship used to belong to Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, Cristiano and Messi, and today it belongs to the racists,” as Reuters quoted him.

He went on to say: “A beautiful country, it welcomed me and I loved it, but it accepted to export the image of the racist state to the world. I’m sorry for the Spaniards who don’t disagree with me, but today in Brazil Spain has become known as a country of racists.”

“I am strong and I will go all the way to fight racists, even if the road is long,” he said.

La Liga said they would request all available footage to investigate the incident.

“If we identify a hate crime, we will take appropriate legal action,” she added in a statement.

La Liga president Javier Tebas has responded to Vinicius’ comments asking him to be more informed about what can be done in case of racism.

He said on Twitter: “We have tried to explain to you ourselves what the cases of racism are and what the Spanish League can do, but you did not attend either of the two meetings agreed upon at your request.”

He added: “Before you criticize and misrepresent the league, you need to educate yourself appropriately. Don’t allow yourself to be manipulated and make sure you understand the abilities and work of others.”

Support messages

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva expressed his support for the player and called on the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) to end racism in sport.

He told a press conference: “I would like to express my solidarity with our Brazilian player, a poor boy who has succeeded in his life and has become one of the best players in the world, and certainly the best player in Real Madrid. , and he was attacked in all the stadiums where he plays.”

And he continued: “I think it is important that FIFA, the Spanish League and league competitions in other countries take concrete action because fascism and racism cannot be allowed to dominate the stadiums of soccer.”

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has condemned the incident on social media.

“It was a sad day at Mestalla, where a group of supporters showed the worst in them, said the Italian coach. It’s time to stop talking and act. There is no room for racism in football or in society. There is no place for racism anywhere.”

Brazilian Football Confederation president Ednaldo Rodriguez also sent a message of support for the 22-year-old.

And he wrote on social media: “How long are we going to live this? In the middle of the 21st century, episodes like the ones we see again in the Spanish League? There is no happiness in a place where racism exists, skin color cannot be a source of inconvenience.” Vinicius had previously been the victim of racial slurs or slurs, and a court in Mallorca is planning to press charges after he filmed supporters in Mallorca while abusing the Brazilian striker.

Spanish police are also investigating a hate crime against the Brazilian player after a doll was found hanging from a bridge outside Real Madrid’s training ground wearing his No.20 shirt last January.
