Kremlin worried about incursions, Ukraine shelled 20 villages in Belgorod

In detail, the governor of the Russian region of Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced today, Tuesday, the evacuation of the civilian population from 9 villages in the region, following the incursion of an armed group from of Ukraine, as dozens of artillery shells fell on several border towns on Monday.

Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Telegram that “clearing continues. Residents of Grivoron, Novostroevka, Gorkovsky, Bezymeno, Mokraya Orlovka, Glutovo, Gora Podol, Zamosti, Spodaryucheno were evacuated.”

The governor of Belgorod region said that over the past day, Ukrainian armed forces shelled about 20 villages in Belgorod region, injuring 12 civilians.

The Belgorod region was shelled 15 times during the past day, the Borisov region was shelled 3 times and 5 shells were fired at the village of Stary Khutor in the Valoisky district.

The governor added that “the urban district of Shchepkinsky was bombed 25 times”.

Russia said on Tuesday that the border area with Ukraine had been bombarded with artillery and mortars.

He added that a number of people were injured as a result of mortar and artillery fire on buildings and infrastructure.

Deep concern in Moscow

In Moscow, the Kremlin expressed its “deep concern” on Tuesday on the second day of the incursion of an armed group into Russian territory from Ukraine.

He called on the Kremlin to make “more efforts” to counter these attacks, which are intensifying and spreading.

“What happened yesterday arouses deep concern and once again shows that Ukrainian militants continue their activities against our country,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

And he added: “It forces us to make more efforts, and these efforts are continuing and the special military operation in Ukraine is continuing so that this does not happen again.”

Regarding the Ukrainian sabotage group in the Belgorod region, Peskov said: “The special military operation continues to prevent this from happening again.”

And about the participation of people of Russian nationality in the ranks of the sabotage group that attacked the Belgorod district, he said: “We must proceed from the fact that they are all armed Ukrainians.”

He also said that Western countries, by supplying arms to Ukraine, are becoming increasingly involved in the conflict, adding that the Western supply of weapons to Kiev, including F-6s, ” cannot fundamentally change the situation”.

It should be noted that in Moscow, a Russian investigative commission was formed to identify the attackers from the residential areas of the Belgorod region.
