The new platforms will be built by the company “HONGHUA GOLDEN COAST”, and will gradually enter into service within the operational fleet of the company, starting from the second quarter of 2024, and its contribution will appear partially in the increase in income and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization in 2024, and fully in 2025 within the Company’s fleet.

With the signing of this agreement, ADNOC Drilling brings the number of rigs purchased since the beginning of this year to 16 new land rigs powered by hybrid energy, following the announcement last March of an agreement for the purchase of 10 new platforms powered by hybrid energy. .

The purchase of these new rigs is part of the company’s medium-term directions to grow the company-owned fleet of rigs to 142 rigs by the end of 2024.

On this occasion, Abdul Rahman Al-Sayari, CEO of ADNOC Drilling, said: “The purchase of these new rigs is part of the company’s ambitious program to expand its fleet to ensure the realization of its growth plans and support its commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
