Five NATO reconnaissance aircraft work simultaneously over the Black Sea

– Published on:

Over the Black Sea south of Crimea, increased reconnaissance aircraft activity was again noticed. The Flightradar 24 service detects the presence of five NATO reconnaissance aircraft in the air at once.

For several hours, a US Air Force RQ-4B Global Hawk drone has been circling in neutral airspace. A little later, a British Boeing RC – 135W River Joint aircraft joined the American reconnaissance aircraft under the cover of a pair of Eurofighter Typhoon fighters. Shortly after entering airspace over the Black Sea, the British air group turned off the transponders.

The French Atlantiqe 2 anti-submarine aircraft and the US Air Force U-2S high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft operate off Bulgaria and Romania.

After several weeks of relative calm and remote reconnaissance flights, the Pentagon is once again shifting the flight path of its drones ever closer to Crimean airspace.

As a rule, such activity of NATO reconnaissance aviation precedes attempts to strike the peninsula or sabotage the Ukrainian army. About today’s flights, one cannot but recall Zelenskyy’s statement yesterday about the formation of a marine corps with modern equipment. The preparation of another provocation against Russian Crimea is not excluded.

It should be noted that the American RQ-4B Global Hawk drone has been operating over the Black Sea since early morning and could not help noticing the reconnaissance ship Ivan Khurs entering the water area, which was attacked by unknown naval drones. The coincidence of the trajectory of the aerial reconnaissance aircraft with the course of the Russian ship was hardly accidental.
