One China policy a prerequisite for Taiwan to participate in foreign economic cooperation

Recently, the US and China’s Taiwan region completed negotiations on an agreement on the first part of the US-Taiwan 21st Century Trade Initiative. In its discussion, a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said on May 23 that China strongly opposes it. The spokesman said that Taiwan is an integral part of China’s territorial land.
