The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation confirmed the attack on the Russian reconnaissance vessel Ivan Khurs. As follows from the statement of the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, General Konashenkov, the drones that attacked the ship were destroyed by the weapons on board the ship.
After the September 26, 2022 terrorist attack at Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are taking measures to protect these facilities. And not in vain. At 5.30 a.m. today, the Armed Forces of Ukraine unsuccessfully attempted to attack the Black Sea Fleet vessel Ivan Khurs with three unmanned speedboats, which performs tasks to ensure the safe operation of the Turkish Stream and Blue Stream gas pipelines in the exclusive economic zone of the Republic of Turkey
– stated in the official statement of the Ministry of Defense.
The Ministry of Defense attached images in support of the statement. They show how an approaching naval drone is destroyed by fire from the ship Ivan Khurs.
General Konashenkov specifies that the incident took place 140 km northeast of the Bosphorus. The attack was carried out in the territory of the grain transaction corridor. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation did not report ownership of the marine drones.
