Houston: In the US, two people were killed and seven others were injured when an under-construction house collapsed during a storm in Conroe, Texas. The officers provided this information. Media quoted Conroe assistant fire chief Mike Legoudes Jr. as saying on Tuesday evening that two people died at the scene. The condition of the seven injured was not known.
Legoudes said the house that collapsed was in the early stages of construction. It appeared they were working on the second floor, he said. Legoudes could not confirm whether the storm was directly responsible for the devastation in downtown Houston. “We saw hail outside, it was overcast and 10,” a local resident told CBS affiliate KHOU Tuesday. It rained heavily for 15 minutes. After that the rain stopped. But at about the same time we heard the sound of ambulances and fire engines.
