We have known each other for more than three years, and during that time, hand in hand, we have confidently faced new challenges and trials that global changes and a new epidemic have brought. However, despite this, we continue to deepen mutual trust, firmly support each other and follow with all our might the path of implementing the agreements reached by the leaders of our countries, as well as to deepen further the friendship between the peoples of our country, which is transmitted from generation to generation. . And here I would like to emphasize that the Committee, as the main instrument for the development of Russian-Chinese people’s diplomacy, is playing an increasingly important role: the basis for further strengthening the friendship between Russia and China is become even stronger. I highly appreciate the important contribution you have made as the head of the Russian part of the Committee. Your exceptional leadership qualities, rich experience and charisma inspire me and every member of the Chinese part of our organization with deep respect. To work with such a nice and respected person, to share all the difficulties with a friend and colleague like you, it’s really lucky. This year, the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Development celebrates its 25th anniversary, and in 2023 the Committee will hold its XIV plenary meeting. These two important events will become not only a significant milestone in the history of Russian-Chinese friendship, but also a new starting point for Russian-Chinese relations in general. I deeply believe that under the strategic leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as the joint efforts of both sides of the Committee, our work will become even more fruitful.
