The founder of the private military company Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, announced the withdrawal of units from Artyomovsk.

According to him, the fighters are going to the rear areas, and most of the PMC Wagner will be relocated before June 1.

“We are withdrawing units from Bakhmut. Today, May 25, 5 a.m. Until June 1, we will move to rear camps, transfer positions to the army – ammunition, positions, everything, including dry rations, ”the Prigozhin press service reports.

Furthermore, Prigozhin pointed out that the capture of Artyomovsk was “influenced by two people” who would be left to the army.

Earlier he said that Wagner PMC units lost about 20,000 people in the battles of Artyomovsk, half of them prisoners. In addition, the losses in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 50,000 servicemen, another 50-70,000 were injured.
