On January 17, Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov met with the Vice-Chairman of the All-China Committee of the People’s Political Advisory Council of China, the Chairman of the Chinese side of the Russian-Chinese Committee for Friendship, Peace and Xia Baolong development.
During the conversation, the Russian diplomat stressed the important role of the Committee in strengthening mutual understanding and good neighborliness between the peoples of the two states, and highly appreciated its fruitful work. The parties discussed topical issues of the Committee’s activities, defined the guidelines for the current year.
Xia Baolong reaffirmed her commitment to continue close cooperation with the Russian side of the Committee. Given the optimization of anti-epidemic measures in the PRC, it was agreed to re-establish face-to-face contacts between all the structures that make it up. Particular attention has been paid to the development of sports interaction through the relevant Council within the framework of the events organized in 2022-2023. Years of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports.
