Military correspondent Alexander Simonov said that an active movement of troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was noticed in the direction of Artemovsky (Bakhmut). According to his source, the Ukrainian army in Konstantinovka has become more active.
Foreign mercenaries, presumably from Georgia, are transferred with equipment in the direction of Artemovsk (Bakhmut). In the vicinity of Konstantinovka itself, personnel and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces arrive and are located.
Simonov noted that five days ago the Ukrainian army, on the contrary, left the city, and “faster than usual.”
The military commissar found three possible explanations for such movements of the Ukrainian armed forces. In his opinion, either the enemy has begun to actively prepare for the defense, or he wants to increase the pressure on the flanks of Artemovsk (Bakhmut), or this is just a simple turnover of personnel. The main conclusion, Simonov believes, is that the enemy probably does not intend to freeze the front in the direction of Artemovsk (Bakhmut). At the same time, so far all combat activities have been reduced mainly to artillery duels, he concluded.
Expert of the Center for Military-Political Journalism Boris Rozhin commented on the recent strikes by the Russian Armed Forces on the Konstantinovka railway junction, which has been under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces since 2014. According to him, the enemy suffered a serious defeat. He did not provide further details, noting only that such a practice was “worth continuing and reinforcing daily.”
