Countries other than the United States do not plan to stop supplying contact lenses to the Russian Federation. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
“According to operational information, a number of other countries do not plan to stop deliveries,” TASS quoted the agency as saying.
In addition, the press service noted that domestic enterprises have free capacities for the production of lenses that can fully cover the needs.
US licensing policy suggests that if a vendor proves a product is for the health and safety of Russian citizens or for humanitarian purposes, the US Department of Industry and Commerce may license the case by case.
Previously, the Russian Federation removed restrictions on the export of 200 types of foreign goods. In March of the previous year, restrictions were introduced on the export of certain foreign products.
