He told that this decision has been taken in protest against the alleged discrimination with the state by the central government on the issue of providing funds.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the eighth meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog.Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Punjab unit’s chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said that the Chief Minister has demanded the release of outstanding Rural Development Fund (RDF) of Rs 3,600 crore. raised the matter with the Centre, but it has not paid any heed to it.
He said that Mann had earlier met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Minister for Consumer Affairs and Food and Public Distribution Piyush Goyal over the issue. In protest, the Chief Minister will not go to the NITI Aayog meeting.
