Cris Cyborg, reigning Bellator women’s featherweight champion and former UFC women’s featherweight champion, said she considers Fedor Emelianenko the greatest heavyweight of all time.
According to the athlete, even losing, the Russian fighter exuded such charisma that he gave the impetus to dozens of other fighters not to despair and not to give up because of failures.
“The main characteristic of Fedor was that he left all the emotions outside the octagon and used all his colossal energy exclusively for the fight,” said the Brazilian.
Cris Cyborg does not exclude that after the end of his active fighting career, he will create a team similar to the one led by Emelianenko.
“He didn’t quit martial arts after the speeches were over. Fedor raises new champions. And I will try to use my experience and Fedor’s example to empower women,” Cyborg concluded.
