VTsIOM has published the results of another sociological survey on public confidence in the country’s leadership. The study showed that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s rating is still high. Three quarters of those questioned trust the head of state.

“On the question of trust in Putin, 80% of survey participants responded positively (minus 0.1 percentage points over the past week),” TASS quotes poll data.

The attitude towards the activities of the Russian government among the survey participants is not so unequivocal. Only one in two said they approve of what the Russian government is doing. At the same time, 62% of respondents personally trust the Prime Minister.

The survey was conducted from May 15 to 21 among 1.6 thousand Russian adults.

Earlier, at the Eurasian Economic Union summit, Putin proposed the creation of a Eurasian rating agency to organize new science-intensive high-tech industries.
