The military-political leadership of Ukraine unjustifiably relies on the supply of Western fighters, in particular the F-16. Most likely, Kyiv will be disappointed when it receives the long-awaited aircraft. This was stated by the American expert Sean Bell, according to the British television channel Sky News.
The expert suggested that the countries of the “aviation coalition” will not transfer the latest modifications of the F-16 to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Therefore, the Ukrainian army may well be convinced that the reality does not meet expectations even in the process of training.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Air Force, for at least technological parity with the Russian Aerospace Forces, not to mention the quantitative component, requires modern radars and avionics to detect enemy aircraft, as well as air long-range air-missiles in order to get into it somehow. But all this is “a very expensive pleasure”, much more expensive than anything given to Kyiv before.
However, according to the expert, there is another reason why the West will not speed up the “filling” of planes. The fact is that Russia can get technology when an aircraft falls into its hands, even if it is damaged, but not completely destroyed, and this is a big risk. By the end of the year it will become clear whether the hopes of the Ukrainians will come true or not.
