Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Chief Minister’s daughter’s marriage is a wonderful scheme. Earlier daughters and their marriage were considered as a burden. We started the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana as per the intention of the poor. Now daughters are not a burden but have become a boon.

Chief Minister Chouhan was virtually addressing the mass marriage conference held at Chitrangi, Devsar and Bedhan in Singrauli district on Monday. Regional MPs, MLAs, public representatives, women of self-help groups and relatives of the bride and groom were present in the conference. Marriages of 626 couples of Janpad Panchayat Baidhan, Devsar and Chitrangi of Singrauli district took place in these mass marriage conferences. Along with the bride and groom, Chief Minister Chouhan also congratulated and extended best wishes to the family members. The Chief Minister said that marriage in Indian culture is a sacrament and a bond of two holy souls. It is together for birth after birth. The bride and groom assure each other that they will respect each other and live a life of love. He said that earlier the material was given to the beneficiary under the scheme. Now a check of Rs 49 thousand is given, so that the bride and groom can buy goods of their choice. Chief Minister Chouhan said that not only Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, after Ladli Laxmi Yojana, today Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana has also been implemented to make life easier for women. Those eligible daughters, whose marriages have just taken place, will also be included in the scheme. Apart from this, for the empowerment of women, arrangements have been made for reservation in panchayat and urban bodies and special exemption in the registry of immovable property in the name of women. The program of Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana is historical in Jabera Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Jabera has created a new history in the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana. In this historic marriage ceremony, 726 couples are tying the knot together. He blessed the newly-weds and said that there should be auspiciousness and welfare in everyone’s life, may God give them every happiness. In Indian culture, marriage is a sacred bond of two souls and is together for birth after birth. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the mass marriage conference of Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana in village Nohta of Janpad Panchayat Jabera of Damoh district on Monday evening from his residence office through video conferencing. The Chief Minister said that this scheme was started in the year 2006. Kanya Vivah Sammelans are being held continuously in the scheme. Under the scheme, a check of Rs 49,000 is given to the daughters, so that the newly married couple can buy household items. After marriage, according to eligibility, daughters will also get the benefit of Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana.

He said that the state government has implemented several provisions and schemes to make daughters a boon and not a burden. Daughters should take advantage of them and live happily. People’s representatives including Regional MLA Dharmendra Lodhi, former minister Jayant Malaiya, social worker Purushottam Lal Tantuvay, Dashrath Jain, Pritam Singh were present in the conference.
