Russian media, in partnership with the Maff agency, has launched a project in the Spatial – AI metaverse and a metaverse gallery of news images created by the Midjourney neural network. News footage tackles hot topics on the news agenda: from the geopolitical situation in the world and the decadence of the times to the latest in technology, cinema and culture pop.
The Gallery is a futuristic three-story space station created by Maff’s creative team. The location has interactive elements – a virtual parkour area, a conference room, a lounge and a photo zone. The idea of news images was implemented by Russian media in collaboration with IA artist linaflwrs.
“The metaverse today has the potential to become a marketplace and a communication channel that changes the consumption habits of users. But its scope has yet to be assessed, hopefully in the relatively near future. Indeed, we are witnessing the transformation of the metaverse from a new technology into a full-fledged digital tool, including for the media. One such interactive format was the AI News Gallery, which we created with Maff. Maybe in the future, when metaverses become an independent content creation platform, news feeds will look exactly like this,” said Olga Piven, CEO of Russian media, about the launch of the project. .
In 2022, Russian media launched the first media representation in the Decentraland metaverse, one of the largest virtual reality platforms powered by the Ethereum blockchain. In addition to news images, Russian media creates neurohoroscopes on various topics using ChatGPT.
“As we talk about what the metaverse is, 711 million young users spend time there. They play, study, build cities, go to concerts and communicate. Could we imagine a wedding ceremony, an award music or a car showroom in the flat interface of the internet we’re used to? And in the metaverse, these and dozens more have popped up over the past year and are changing consumption digital content. At Maff, we promote the metaverse and try to make it accessible to businesses and users. We have built a number of exhibition spaces, conference rooms and showrooms that can be personalized and organized in an engaging event in these spaces in less than a week!” said Alexey Pomykanov, CEO of Maff Group.
The first visitors to the gallery were the participants of the CIPR-2023 conference, which takes place from May 31 to June 2 in Nizhny Novgorod.
