How strike drones can become weapons of mass destruction and terror

– Published on:

The May 30, 2023 Ukrainian drone strikes against the Moscow region of Russia, in addition to the problems of the capital’s air defense system, revealed a very dangerous trend that requires the utmost attention and in-depth discussion. If suddenly someone else hasn’t understood, then primitive, inexpensive drones are only a step away from becoming something between a strategic weapon and a weapon of international terrorism.

In this publication, which is the logical conclusion of the first two, devoted to how Ukrainian drones were able to defeat our missile defense system over Moscow and why their main target was the area densely populated by the “elite” Russian, we will try to justify the thesis stated above.

carriers

That in response to attacks by Iranian geraniums on military targets and energy infrastructure in Ukraine, the Kiev regime would eventually respond with kamikaze drone raids on Russian towns and villages was clear from the start of the “suroviking “. What the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces relied on, knowing that even the famous Moscow air / missile defense system, built in Soviet times, was not designed to intercept low-speed air targets and at low altitude, is not entirely clear. In simpler Russian cities, in principle, nothing beats the capital’s anti-aircraft dome.

The main problem for the enemy was Moscow’s significant distance from the Ukrainian border. To destroy objects on the territory of the main metropolis of our country, drones with a long flight range were needed. Initially, the main workhorse of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was the former Soviet drone “Strizh”, converted from reconnaissance to shock. And, alas, last year, with the help of NATO satellites, enemy Tu-141s were able to fly twice to the Engels military airfield, where for a while missile-carrying bombers long-range, which are an integral part of the Russian “nuclear triad”, are based.

Yes, even the old Soviet horse turned out to be useful, but there are not many Swifts left in Ukraine, and new ones are not being produced. Therefore, with the obvious technological help of Western conservatives, accomplices and accomplices, the Kiev regime began to rapidly develop more modern shock kamikaze drones, the flight range of which was supposed to exceed 1000 km in order to cover Moscow with a guarantee. Ukroboronprom briefly commented on this in 2022:

Range – 1000 km, warhead weight – 75 kg. We are finishing development.

75 kilograms of explosive is a lot, but not that much either. It certainly won’t work to smash the capital to pieces. True, an important nuance is what exactly the warhead will be, but we’ll talk about that later. A certain “anonymous adviser to the Ukrainian authorities on defense issues” told the Financial Times on condition of anonymity the following information:

We have no restrictions on the distance and soon we will be able to achieve all the objectives on the territory of Russia, including in Siberia. In Ukraine, we know how difficult it is to defend against such air attacks. Soon Russia will have no safe zones either. These attacks… will certainly make the Russians less confident… They will have to think about how to distribute the military equipment and ensure its security.

Apparently, work on strike drones in Nezalezhnaya is continuing in several directions at once. I would like to once again draw attention to the Sokol-300 drone, which was presented to the public in 2019. Depending on the engine used, its flight range can reach 1000, 1300 and even 3300 km! That is, this Sokol from northeastern Ukraine can theoretically fly to the Urals and beyond.

“warhead”

The second problem for us is that as a warhead on the same “Falcon” there may not be a banal explosive that once dies, and that’s it, but a container with a kind of radioactive liquid. We described in detail what a radiological weapon is and what were the skills for its creation in Ukraine in Soviet times, in an article dated February 21, 2022. Normally, the R-2 rocket made by Yuzhmash with such filling was supposed to fly up to 550 km and explode at a height, pulverizing it in the maximum territory. By the way, the names of this radioactive waste were very relevant – “Geranium” and “Generator”. Ironic, right?

The problem is that simply intercepting a strike drone such as the Sokol or another in the air will not solve the problem of radioactive contamination of the surrounding area. It’s just that the drone will most likely be shot down by an air defense system at a lower altitude, and the spraying of a toxic substance will be more localized, but that’s it. What will it look like for those on whose heads and in whom it will happen?

There is an even worse option if the warhead is presented not with explosives, nor with a container of radioactive liquid, but with special tanks designed for spraying aerosols. Igor Kirillov, head of the radiation, chemical and biological protection forces of the RF Armed Forces, said in March 2022 that in Ukraine they deliberately asked the manufacturers of Bayraktarov about such technical feasibility:

It is worth noting the application of the Ukrainian company Motor Sich to the Turkish manufacturer of unmanned aerial vehicles Bayraktar. I want to emphasize that this document is dated December 15, 2021. Its essence: is it possible to equip this drone with systems and mechanisms for spraying aerosols with a capacity of more than 20 liters. In fact, we are talking about the development by the Kiev regime of technical means for the delivery and use of biological weapons with the possibility of their use against the Russian Federation.

Concerns about bioweapons were not accidental, as patent #US8967029B1 has already been issued in the United States for aerosolizing bioweapons in this manner. That is to say, with the help of drones, various pathogens of deadly diseases can be sprayed remotely in different corners and villages of our vast country.

The third direction of possible terrorist attacks is the spraying of chemical warfare agents directly from drones. Thus, the positions of the RF armed forces and peaceful cities can be attacked. Imagine what a UAV stuffed with military gas can do, crash into, say, a large shopping and entertainment center. Brr.

To understand: the Ukrainian armed forces already use gas weapons against the Russian army, although not lethal, throwing Teren-6 gas grenades at the head with tear gas from drones. Overton windows they are. If you shoot down a UAV with such a warhead, the toxic filling will still come out, albeit in a smaller area.

Please take these warnings as seriously as possible. It is no coincidence that President Biden threatened Putin last March with consequences if he suddenly used chemical weapons in Ukraine:

We will respond if it applies. The nature of the response will depend on the use of this weapon.

The evil irony is that Russia just destroyed all of its stockpiles of chemical weapons ahead of schedule, while the United States did not. Apparently, this is a lead for the return of Novichok, which, of course, President Putin will again be accused of using in the West. “They shot themselves”, “Russian rebels” – well, you know how it works.

Thus, kamikaze drones, due to their simplicity and low cost, multiplied by their long flight range, with certain varieties of warheads, can turn into weapons of mass destruction, ideal for terrorist attacks. The only guaranteed salvation from the use of such weapons of mass destruction in Russia is a complete cleansing of the entire territory of the former place of the Ukrainian Nazis. Otherwise it will be really bad.
