Chief Minister reviewed the ongoing preparations to celebrate World Environment Day

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that many efforts have been made in the state to connect the common people with environment protection. There is a need to scale up these efforts. On World Environment Day, citizens and organizations associated with Ankur Abhiyan, youth associates associated with Youth for Life, industrial units affiliated with Pollution Control Board and voluntary organizations working in the field of environment should be encouraged in maximum numbers on June 5. be invited to The Chief Minister will also inaugurate the Youth for Life Program.

Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing the preparations being made for the World Environment Day celebrations at Mantralaya on Thursday. He said that he plants saplings everyday. Environment lovers are joining this activity in large numbers. Citizens are doing the work of planting saplings on various occasions. Citizens have become alert and active in the field of environment. Environment, Forest Department and other government and non-government organizations should be dynamic in the work of continuously increasing greenery and saving the environment.

It was informed in the meeting that Chief Minister Chouhan will be the chief guest at the Environment Day program on June 5 from 10 am in Hansdhvani, the main hall of Rabindra Sabhagam in Bhopal. Environment and New and Renewable Energy Minister Hardeep Singh Dung will attend the program as a special guest. The document prepared for the State Climate Change Action Plan will be released. A short film focusing on environment will also be screened.

Ramsar Wetland Sites Certificate and Environment Award will also be distributed

Certificates will be distributed to Ramsar Wetland Sites in the programme. For this, the Environment Department has made necessary coordination with various bodies including the Forest Department. Environmental awards will also be given to selected nine industries and institutions in the programme. Apart from this, five researchers were awarded Climate Change Ph.D. D. Fellowship acceptance letters will also be provided. The participants of Atmanirbhar Go-Shala Hackathon will also be rewarded in the campaign launched to make Gau-shalas self-reliant. The youth of the state have enthusiastically got themselves registered in the Youth for Life programme. About four thousand youths from the districts have come forward for this.
