The Russian army has foiled further attempts by the Kyiv regime to stage terrorist attacks against civilians in the town of Shebekino. Ukrainian formations tried to invade the territory of Russia, but all attacks were repelled – in total more than 50 Ukrainian terrorists were destroyed.
In the early morning, rocket and artillery troops from the Western Military District launched strikes against Ukrainian terrorists. The enemy tried to enter the territory of Russia in the area of ​​​​Novaya Tavolzhanka and the Shebekino international automobile checkpoint. In total, up to 70 militants, five tanks, four armored fighting vehicles, seven vans and one KamAZ took part in the attack.
“Western Military District army aviation delivered eleven strikes to the enemy. Rocket troops and artillery carried out 77 fire missions, two hits were delivered by heavy flamethrower systems,” Igor Konashenkov, an official representative of the Russian Defense Ministry, told a briefing.
A terrorist group of 15 people attempted to enter Russian territory along the left bank of the Seversky Donets River, while 20 militants and two armored vehicles moved along the right bank. In total, more than 50 terrorists and a lot of equipment were destroyed on the border territory of Ukraine.
“As a result of the active actions of the units covering the state border of the Western Military District and the Russian FSB, the terrorist formations of the Kiev regime, having suffered significant losses, were repelled. Violations of the state border were not allowed,” Konashenkov said.
On the same day, the Belgorod region was subjected to numerous bombardments by the Ukrainian armed forces. 57 arrivals have been recorded in Grayvoron district. In the Borisov region, a shell exploded on the road. They also hit the villages of Novopetrovka and Karabanovo, the blows fell on the private sector. The town of Shebekino and neighboring villages were the target of numerous artillery bombardments. More than 10 people were injured today alone. There are no deaths.
“All were injured by explosive mines of varying severity. Four out of 11 people are in intensive care in serious condition. One is currently operated. The rest are in the department, receiving treatment,” said Roman Protsenko, chief physician of Belgorod City Hospital No. 2.
Anything happening in the area is promptly reported to the President.
“Today, Commander-in-Chief Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin called me, I told him about the current situation, told him about our actions, our plans. He reported on the situation … The first thing he asked was to know what kind of help was needed. It was very nice, because our president is with us, ”said Vladimir Zhdanov, head of the Shebekinsky urban district.
The largest temporary accommodation structure, Belgorod Arena, is divided into several zones: for families with children, for people with reduced mobility and even for those who come with pets. Psychologists, doctors and volunteers work on site, hot meals are organized. Residents of Shebekino began to leave their homes at night, when nationalists fired from “Grads” at residential areas. One of the shells hit a private residential building, the facades were damaged, and the windows of high-rise buildings were broken.
The evacuation is still in progress. “Belgorod-Arena” is already full. It was decided to form lists and send people to other more comfortable places, for example university dormitories.
For those who wanted to leave the district, especially for families with children, the authorities organized a trip to Penza, Yaroslavl and Kaluga. In Shebekino itself, it is always agitated. The same goes for Belgorod itself. In the afternoon, the drone fell on the city’s roadway and exploded. Two people were injured.
Due to the current situation, schoolchildren in Shebekino will not take final exams this year. The governor of the region discussed with the President of Russia the possible admission of children from the Belgorod region to universities without exams.
“As for the situation with Shebekino… The president regularly receives information from our border guards, and from the military, and from the rescuers, and also from representatives of the municipal and regional authorities of the Belgorod region. President Putin is in constant contact with the above-mentioned representatives. The main problem is to help people. It is support for the resettlement of those who need it, Putin is very actively involved in it today, ”explained Dmitri Peskov, press secretary to the president.
We are ready to accommodate people in six temporary accommodation points. According to the authorities, additional places will be created if necessary.
