Vandenbroek said: “We traveled and arrived after playing a Moroccan League game, and so the preparation started late.”

He explained: “I think everyone looks at Al-Ahly the same because they are a great team in Africa and have made it to the final 4 times and missed it once in the last 5. last seasons, in terms of budget and titles, it’s the biggest.

He explained: “Any coach who says it’s an easy final is crazy. The final is difficult against any opponent, and therefore it will be a difficult game for both teams.”

“Our players have played several finals in recent years and therefore have the maturity and experience necessary for similar matches,” continued Vandenbroeck.

And he continued: “In preparation, we have to adapt to the travel and the heat, and that’s the most important thing, because these games are decided by details, individuals and individual talents.”

And he continued: “When you go to a final match, the pressure controls the atmosphere, but we try to relax and have fun too. You shouldn’t add more pressure, but rather take some of it away from it. the team.”

He concluded: “My message to the Wydad fans? They are always there with us and pushing us forward, and that happened in the last league game. They stay with us in difficult times and even if we don’t get a positive result in the first leg, we have the return leg at home with a full stadium, and we are still very motivated at this club.”
