Ukrainian fighters reached the border of Russia, the Russian army fired shells

Moscow. The concern of President Vladimir Putin has increased due to the Ukrainian fighters reaching the border of Russia. However, the Russian army succeeded in repelling the Ukrainian boys by firing cannon shells. At the same time, the Russian army has claimed to have foiled the infiltration attempt by Ukrainian fighters.

Russia’s defense ministry said an armed group from Ukraine tried to infiltrate near the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka in western Russia on Sunday. The Russian army targeted the convoy of these fighters with cannon balls. It is not yet known whether the fighters belonged to the Ukrainian army or were part of the Volunteer Force. Russia’s main concern so far has been Ukrainian drones intruding into its airspace.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that on June 4, border defense units of the Western Military District and border guards of the Russian Federal Security Service detected a group of Ukrainian militants crossing a river near the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Belgorod region. After this, the Russian army dispersed the enemy by raining cannon shells. Many fighters were killed by artillery fire. He was forced to retreat from this attack.

Earlier in the day, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said fighting was underway between Russian forces and a Ukrainian saboteurs (sabotage) group in the western Russian village of Novaya Tavolzhanka in the Belgorod region. Gladkov said in a video on social media that he entered as a sabotage and intelligence-gathering group. There is a battle going on in Novaya Tavolzhanka. I hope they all get killed.

Gladkov said that Ukrainian saboteurs had offered an exchange for those captured during the infiltration. He said he feared the prisoners had been executed but agreed to talks at a checkpoint in the Russian city of Shebekino bordering Ukraine’s Kharkiv region.

The Russian Defense Ministry said Russian troops had repelled three Ukrainian cross-border attacks near Shebykino in the Belgorod region. Local officials said a dormitory in Shebekino was set on fire and an administrative building was damaged in the attacks.
