Important role of litterateurs in nation building: Minister Usha Thakur

Bhopal. Culture and Tourism Minister Usha Thakur said that litterateurs have an important role in nation building. That’s why litterateurs must ensure that they fulfill their positive responsibility towards the country and the society.

Minister Usha Thakur was addressing the Investiture Ceremony of Urdu Academy and Sangeet Sandhya at the State Museum on Monday. He said that all these awards are a reflection of the tireless and continuous practice of the litterateurs throughout their life. Writers incorporate experiences and experiences throughout their life in their research work so that literature can become inspiring for the country and society.

Minister Usha Thakur also released the timetable of “Silsila and Talashe Johar” series to be held across the state by Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy in the coming days.

Giving information, Director of the Academy, Dr. Nusrat Mehdi said that earlier awards were given by the Academy to a particular person on the basis of his literary services. From the year 2021-22, Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy has started the process of giving all India and regional awards to published books based on various genres related to Urdu language and literature. The advantage of this was that work has started on many vanishing genres of Urdu literature and this time we received a large number of books on various genres of Urdu literature. This year Madhya Pradesh Urdu Academy is honoring 6 creators with All India Award and 12 creators with regional award for their works.

Culture Minister Usha Thakur honored Dr. Shafi Hidayat Qureshi- Datia, Arif Aziz- Bhopal, Renu Behl- Chandigarh, Rakshanda Mehdi- Delhi, Rizwan-ul-Haq- Delhi and Badr Wasti- Bhopal with All India Awards. On the other hand, Rashid Anjum from the regional awards – Bhopal, Prof. Afaq Hussain Siddiqui- Bhopal, Khalida Siddiq- Bhopal, Shaur Aashna- Burhanpur, Dr. Azam- Bhopal, Ashok Mizaz Badra- Sagar, Rafiq Rewani- Rewa, Mahendra Agarwal- Shivpuri, Dr. Wasif Khan Yar- Burhanpur, Riyaz Alam Mohammadi- Jabalpur was honored on “Tajalliyate Bazme Sana”, Jameel Ahmed Jameel – Jabalpur and Rushda Jameel – Bhopal. On this occasion, renowned ghazal singer Mohammad Ayub Ghafoor presented ghazals in his velvety voice and forced the audience to dance. The program was coordinated by Dr. Ehsan Azmi and Samyukta Banerjee. On this occasion, Director of Sahitya Akademi Dr. Vikas Dave, concerned departmental officers along with a large number of Urdu literature lovers were present.
