As International Russian Language Day was celebrated in Kyrgyzstan

Professional and amateur groups, schools, universities, libraries from all regions of the republic prepared many events, philologists from Kyrgyzstan and Russia held scientific debates, and someone just learned an excerpt from a poem by a Russian poet.

“In Lukomorye there is a holm oak, a golden chain on this oak, and day and night the scientific cat continues to walk around the chain,” said five-year-old Marat Kozhegulov, who came on vacation with his mother.
By tradition, the celebrations began at the monument to the poet, which was installed in front of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University. This time the holiday format has decided to change. The official event took place, as planned, in the assembly hall of the university, and in the evening a colorful performance took place in the square in front of the entrance to the university. Passers-by could easily talk to Eugene Onegin, invite Tatyana or Olga Larina to dance, shake hands with Ruslan and even confess their love to Lyudmila.

  • We decided to organize a theatrical performance on the street in order to present the work of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin and the Russian language to as many people as possible, – said Honored Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic Galina Ketova. – We prepared very carefully, because we always play in the auditorium, where there is good acoustics, a limited number of spectators. Playing in the street is something completely different. Here it is important not only to show our creativity, but also to make passers-by become spectators.

Meanwhile, on the stage of the Russian Drama Theater named after Chyngyz Aitmatov, the holiday was celebrated with a new play “The Tale of Tsar Saltan”, staged by the directors of GITIS – the Russian Institute of Theater Arts theater. And the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater of Kyrgyzstan, named after Abdylas Maldybaev, delighted the audience with the play “Pushkin in Music”.

In the city of Karakol, students and teachers of Issyk-Kul State University prepared a whole series of events dedicated to Pushkin and the International Day of Russian Language. They take place in the park, which bears the name of the poet, and where, by the way, the alley of the Rossiyskaya Gazeta is located.

Also, well-known philologists, representatives of the House of the Russian Diaspora named after Alexander Solzhenitsyn arrived in Karakol. They donated over 300 books of history and literature by classical and contemporary authors to the local university.
– In Kyrgyzstan, many places are associated with the name of Pushkin and, accordingly, with the Russian language, – said Albert Zulkharneev, head of the Rossotrudnichestvo (Russian House) office in Kyrgyzstan. – There are more than twenty streets in the cities and towns of the republic, named after the poet. Busts of the poet are installed in many colonies. But the main thing is that people understand: knowing Russian is a joy, it does not interfere with anyone, but only helps to develop. It was on this that many great works of classical literature were written, and it was thanks to him that a huge number of people around the world came across them. Brilliant scientific discoveries are formulated in Russian, outstanding inventions are described that made possible the existence and development of our civilization. This year, when holding events related to the International Russian Language Day, we tried to attract as many participants as possible, because it is a holiday for everyone.

However,

The celebration of the International Russian Language Day in Kyrgyzstan was not limited to one day, but spanned almost a week. Today, June 7, the ensemble of Russian folk songs “Souvenir” will present its new concert program to the public. And on Friday, in the central park of the village of Belovodskoye, Chui region, singers Marina Bashmanova and Roman Chestnov, together with Fedor Spitsin, will organize a musical and educational evening dedicated to the International Day of the Russian Language.
