DMart preparing to give tough competition to JioMart! customers will get benefit

New Delhi: Avenue Supermart, the company running D Mart’s chain, has planned to give tough competition to Reliance’s Jio Mart and Tata’s Big Basket. According to the report published in the Financial Times, for this, the company has planned to give 20 to 30 percent discount on different products to its customers in June.

Significantly, in the last few years, there has been a lot of expansion in the business of online retail in the country. Jio Mart and Big Basket are offering various offers to attract customers. In such a situation, D Mart has taken this decision in view of the decreasing difference from other companies in the matter of everyday products.

DMart had earned a total of Rs 1,667 crore in FY 2022, out of which the company suffered a total loss of Rs 142 crore. This loss was more than last year. At the same time, the company has not disclosed the earnings figures for the year 2023. In such a situation, the company has also prepared to start WhatsApp service to reduce its losses and to give tough competition to other companies. From June 2023, the company will allow customers like Jio Mart to order goods through WhatsApp.

Companies are preparing for monsoon

Half of the month of June has passed and in such a situation schools will open in many parts of the country. Along with this, the monsoon will knock in the country along with the month of July. In this season, instead of going out in the rain, people prefer to order goods at home. In such a situation, many grocery companies want to take advantage of this opportunity and want to strengthen their market base. Please tell that Jio Mart and Big Basket are present in more than 200 and 450 cities of the country, while D Mart is only in 22 cities. In such a situation, D Mart is trying to attract customers by giving them a huge discount of 20 to 30 percent.

Customers will get more benefits in the coming times

According to the report, experts believe that the company can give more strong offers to increase its business between July and August. Along with this, the company is also trying to focus on expanding its e-platform. The company plans to make its business more than 5,000 by FY 24-25.
