Life’s Work: An Interview With A Cuban Entrepreneur Jorgedian Dihigo Caro

– Published on:

While the formidable men, if they did exist, needed no comparison with their competitors, given their fabled achievements, similar evaluations continue today with their modern equivalents – male entrepreneurs. Seen as the preserve of essential talent, when it comes to entrepreneurship, some old-fashioned attitudes continue.

However, Cuban entrepreneur Jorge does not heed small-mindedness. Not only does he extol the allure of the people who compete in his field – akin to the magnetism the early Amazons were said to possess – he has parlayed his Cuban talents into a successful UAE trade empire.

In the interview: Cuban Entrepreneur Jorge

How do you spend most of your time?

I am very passionate about my work, being a PR manager in one of the most popular aesthetic clinics in Dubai. Most of my time during the day I spend there working with my team. But after work, I spend my time doing things like going to the gym, going out with friends, and having a nice dinner. I’m also an avid traveler and love exploring new places and destinations.

How are you different from other people?

I always challenge myself and others to make the most out of life. I have a diverse and international background. After graduating from the music conservatory in Havana, I started as a professional musician and model in Peru. I developed my background in Marketing and Public Relations working with some of the leading brands. This has led me to undertake more entrepreneurial endeavors both in Dubai, UAE, and Cuba which also helps my family business.

What are you planning for your future?

I have planned to succeed in all my current projects and am excited about the opening of the new boutique hotel in Havana together with my family. I hope to further develop my business in Dubai, while also open more hotels in other locations as well. I also want to explore the world more and meet different countries and cultures.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

I see myself growing as an entrepreneur in Dubai and Havana, having at least two other boutique hotels in Cuba, and opening new clinics in the UAE.

What is your greatest achievement?

When moving to Dubai six years ago, I started my career as a new Marketing and PR manager in a clinic with a lot of potential for growth. I see it as one of the greatest achievements that I have been able to develop and become part of one of the most successful aesthetic clinics in the city.
