The United States pledges to work with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Government

After congratulatory messages from India, China and Nepal; Saudi Arabia and Qatar also have congratulated Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her landslide victory in the December 30th general election. Meanwhile, Robert Palladino, Deputy Spokesperson of the U.S. Department of State in a statement issued on January 1, 2019, has commended the people of Bangladesh for casting their votes during the election.

The statement said, “The United States commends the tens of millions of Bangladeshis who voted in Bangladesh’s 11th parliamentary election on December 30, 2018, as well as the decision of all major opposition political parties to participate, a positive development after the boycotted election of 2014.”

It also said, “The United States remains deeply invested in the future of Bangladesh and its democratic development. The United States is Bangladesh’s largest foreign investor, the largest single-country market for Bangladeshi exports, and home to a large community of Americans of Bangladeshi origin.”

The U.S. government has also applauded the impressive record of economic development and respect for democracy and human rights under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. It has also vowed to work with the newly elected government.

Following this statement from the U.S. Department of State, the foul propaganda of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its political cohort Jamaat E Islami, a militancy-linked party of “vote rigging” and voters not being able casting their votes has already been rejected by the international community. The U.S. Department of State has very clearly mentioned about millions of Bangladeshis casting their votes during the December 30 general elections.

At the same time, the United States has categorically mentioned impressive economic growth in Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. It has also endorsed the existence of human rights and democracy in Bangladesh thus trashing the false propaganda of Bangladesh Nationalist Party, Jamaat E Islami and few so-called human rights groups. This statement clearly proves, the United States is fully aware of the respect shown to human rights and democratic values by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her ruling Awami League.

With this statement, the uncalled for the propaganda of the Bangladesh Nationalist PartyJamaat E Islami and those so-called rights groups come to an end. It proves, the Western nations are not willing to buy false propaganda of those pro-Islamist and pro-militancy political parties in Bangladesh.

At the same time, the statement proved, some so-called rights groups are engaged in false propaganda against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her government thus making foul allegations of vote rigging, human rights violations and intimidation on the political opponents.

Very unfortunately, several anti-Trump news outlets in the United States such as CNN, Washington Post, etc are engaged in spreading rumor possibly being wrongly dictated by the agents of those opposition parties in Bangladesh and or the so-called rights groups.

In Bangladesh, people are greatly relieved at the much-anticipated landslide victory of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her party as they are fully supportive to her magnanimous policies, which already have transformed a financially struggling Bangladesh into the second fastest growing economy in the world. It is well expected that within the next ten years, Bangladesh will emerge as another economic giant in Asia. Foreign investors already are putting priorities in investing in Bangladesh considering the excellent political stability and law and order situation.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina not only has been working hard for the economic emancipation of Bangladesh, but she also has been dedicatedly working in combating militancy and terrorism, which is extremely crucial for the regional and global securities.
On December 30th, people of Bangladesh have clearly made their choice of rejecting the rogue politics of Bangladesh Nationalist Party and Jamaat E Islami. The secularist masses in the country clearly are against religious extremism and radical Islam.
