A one-month Professional Development and Personality Enrichment (PDPE) online training program, was organized by REsolv Corporation, Massachusetts, USA. The program commenced on May 4, 2020, with an online Inauguration Ceremony and was successfully concluded on June 4, 2020. It was attended by participants from India and abroad. The majority of the participants belonged to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, India.

This course addressed every possible dimension of personality development. At the center of the curriculum, language skills were placed that is, speaking, listening, reading, and writing (LSRW). Further, this was encircled by distinguishing features of soft skills like leadership attitude, critical awareness, workplace etiquette, cultural awareness, conflict management, and time management. All the sessions were interlocked by diverse and accomplished experts from India and other countries such as the United States of America, the United Kingdom, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. The course kept a significant pace with the current standards of teaching and learning language skills, and ensured the maintenance and enhancement of the knowledge and skills people need to deliver in professional settings. The course also served to assist students to advance in their careers and move into new positions where they can lead, manage, coach, influence, and mentor others. This comprehensive learning activity was well received by participants and they presented an overwhelming response.

The main source of inspiration behind this one-month PDPE online training program is Mr. Syed Ali Rizvi, President, REsolv Corporation. He is a noted philanthropist, Global President of Vision AID Inc. (a non-profit organization for visually challenged), and renowned alumnus of the Department of Business Administration, AMU. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Syed Ali Rizvi said that the course proved to be a valuable experience, one which addressed different issues of communication and overall development. REsolv is doing its utmost efforts to support and train young leaders to improve their quality of life by developing their communicative skills, environment, and sustainability in the present and future settings.

Dr. Zareen Husain Farooq, the Program Advisor and Assistant Professor at the Department of Business Administration, AMU, had made various indigenous efforts to actualize the vision of improving students’ communicative and soft skills. She reviewed the course goals and made a significant contribution to making the one-month course a success. The program was convened by Ms. Areeba Shabbir, Research Scholar, Department of English, AMU. As a well-organized team leader, she directed and moderated the course with a full understanding of the needs of participants. She was able to enhance the quality and extent of the usefulness of this training manifold.

The one-month PDPE ended on June 4 with an online Valedictory session. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr. Anand Pal Singh, Research Scholar, Department of English, AMU. He expressed sincere gratitude to Mr. Syed Ali Rizvi, Dr. Zareen Husain Farooq, Ms. Areeba Shabbir, for their guidance, Dr. Adiba Nusrat, who introduced PDPE course at AMU Centres for Distance Education and for setting the program objectives, Mr. Yasir Naseem, Media Manager and Mr. Sarim Ashrafi, Media Director. He also thanked the members of the organizing team- Mr. Momin Ali and Mr. Mirza Adam. They were the silent task force behind making this event a success. A special sense of gratitude was conveyed to all the resource persons for their valuable time and effort and lastly, to the participants for being enthusiastic and the reason for the motivation of the organizing workforce.
