DA Hike Latest News: Himachal Pradesh Government (Himachal Pradesh Govt) has now implemented the increase in dearness allowance after restoring the old pension scheme in the state.

Along with this, the salary of the state government employees is also going to increase. Retired ex-employees of the state government will also be given the benefit of increase in dearness allowance.

More than 3 lakh people benefitted

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu had recently announced to increase DA (Himachal Pradesh DA Hike). He had announced a 3 percent increase in DA at the state level function organized on the occasion of Himachal Day on April 15. Now the state government has issued a notification in this regard. This decision of the state government will benefit 2.15 lakh employees and 90 thousand retired employees.

Payment will be made from the last date

Till now the employees and pensioners of Himachal Pradesh government were getting the benefit of dearness allowance at the rate of 31 per cent. Now the rate of dearness allowance has been increased to 34 per cent. It has also been told in the notification that the benefit of increased rate of dearness allowance will be given to the eligible employees and pensioners from January 1, 2022. For this everyone will be paid arrears.

The notification to implement the increased dearness allowance was issued by the Chief Secretary of the State Government. The notification states that arrears from January 2022 to March 31, 2023 will be paid into the GPF account, while arrears after April 2023 will be paid in cash.

On the other hand, after January 1, 2022, the dearness allowance will be paid in cash to the retired personnel. The state government has told in the notification that this decision to increase the dearness allowance will result in an additional burden of Rs 500 crore. State treasury.
