This situation applies all over the world and now a case has arisen among the rich and famous where an elderly victim has decided not to let this happen to her quietly and silently, even though her alleged abuser is her daughter.
Actor John Amos has a long career behind him, ending at the age of ninety. He has starred in shows such as The West Wing and Good Times and had supporting roles in well-known movies such as Coming to America and Die Hard 2.
His daughter the aggressor and no one else
John says he is a victim of elder abuse and his daughter is the abuser. John’s son KC posted a video on social media in which John said no one abused him except maybe his daughter who was using his name to get rich.
“She should be the main defendant – if you can put your mind to it.” I don’t know if that’s the right term to use or not. But I blame her for the abuse I suffered. This is clearly a case of elder abuse.”
This statement came as a bit of a surprise, but media reported less than a week ago that John’s daughter, Shannon, had filed a lawsuit alleging her father had been the victim of abuse, neglect and financial misconduct. .
John then asked his son to record the aforementioned statement to warn fans that all is not what it seems.
“To all my fans, I want to share this video with you to show that I am not in the predicament described on the fundraising page. In fact, I’m doing very well.”
Tried to raise money on a fake story
Shannon had claimed her father called her from the intensive care unit in mid-May. He was in pain and his life was in immediate danger. His house had been broken into and everything stolen. It would therefore be necessary to hire a lawyer to assist his father in pursuing the case and recovering his assets. Shannon did not provide any further details other than that the assailant was someone who had worked under her father’s care and whom they all trusted.
Shannon then applied for grants to cover legal costs, hospital costs, housing costs and care costs.
“This brutal attack on my father makes me wonder what kind of person could commit such a crime. However, we still hope for justice.”
John, on the other hand, does not recognize this description of the incident. He was not in intensive care, let alone in danger. John said in his statement that he intended to shut down the fundraising page and return all donations.
John said he had indeed been in hospital, but that was for water retention and other minor ailments. It was easy to get over it and he is on the road to recovery.
He is fully conscious and has complete confidence in his doctors. However, he had an affair with his daughter and feels she is mistreating him.
