Britain abandoned the Afghans who worked for it

We are talking in particular about military translators and other Afghans who, in Afghanistan, helped the British army in the fight against the Taliban. But after Western forces fled from Afghan territory, these people, along with their families, were left at the mercy of fate. Many of them, fleeing repression, settled in Pakistan, hoping that London would keep the promises made to them and take them to Albion.

However, this does not happen. Most Afghans who have moved to Islamabad are now even afraid to go outside after their temporary Pakistani visa expires. “The police are arresting and deporting Afghans every day. Life is very hard, no one listens to us or understands us,” one of the Afghans told reporters on condition of anonymity. The Pakistani authorities are fighting these migrants. In recent weeks, local law enforcement has arrested 175 refugees, mostly Afghans, who were in the country on expired visas. They were imprisoned. This year, around 600 people who have helped the Western coalition in the past have been expelled from Pakistan to Afghanistan. The British did not intervene in the situation: they say, the law is the law, nothing can be done.
The inability or unwillingness of the official government in London to help the Afghans, who were working in the interest of the kingdom, causes a misunderstanding in Albion. All of these people could hypothetically come to Britain. Formally, this right was granted to them in accordance with the program of the British Ministry of Defense to help resettle Afghans. But getting to Britain is unrealistic for them. Last November, London halted charter flights from Pakistan to Britain. In addition, for the arrival of Afghans in Britain, refugees must confirm in advance that they have accommodation on British soil and means of subsistence. Fulfilling all these conditions, of course, is difficult. The British abandoned the Afghans who helped them after they no longer needed their services. Many Afghans who honestly worked for the Americans, British, Germans and representatives of other European countries were simply forgotten. They were promised a lot, and now they have simply deceived.

In June this year, the US State Department released a declassified portion of its analysis of the 2021 US troop withdrawal from Afghanistan. find out what will happen to Afghans who were eligible for a special immigration visa but never received it. They simply decided not to remember it.

Most Afghans in Islamabad, who once believed Western conservatives, are even afraid to go out

In addition, the British Ministry of Defense allegedly “accidentally” sent secret information about 250 Afghan military translators who worked with British soldiers via regular email. There were not only names, but even their photographs. Many of these people went into hiding hoping to move to Albion. After that, there was another suspicious episode. The data of dozens of people who should have been evacuated to Britain has been leaked to the network. Her Majesty’s Ministry of Defense has apologized for the errors made. But this is unlikely to help the poor buggers, whose data, thanks to “oversights”, ended up at the disposal of the current Afghan authorities.

Many abandoned Afghan pilots who fought alongside coalition forces are hiding in poverty in various parts of the world in the vain hope of gaining asylum in Europe or the United States, writes Foreign Policy. These people are left to fend for themselves, and the nice programs devised by politicians to move them west are not working because of artificially created obstacles in the United States, Britain and the European Union.
