Director and his muse: Tim Burton endorsed Monica Bellucci in ‘Beetlejuice 2’

Preparations for filming the sequel to the popular 1988 comedy “Beetlejuice” are in full swing. It was revealed this week that Jenna Ortega will reprise her role as the daughter of Lydia, played by Winona Ryder, as in the first film, while Michael Keaton will reprise his role as the eccentric “bio-exorcist” Beetlejuice.

But not only have these personnel issues served as food for conversation between fans of the film. The fact is that director Tim Burton invited another famous actress to the project, and in combination, his “lady of hearts”. And it’s none other than Monica Bellucci. She will play the role of the wife of the protagonist. The stars’ romance became known earlier this year, when they were photographed walking arm-in-arm through the streets of Paris at night.

At the same time, fans of Burton’s work began to feel deja vu. At one time, when Helena Bonham Carter was his common-law wife, he filmed her in almost every movie. Now it’s Bellucci’s turn. Apparently, nothing human is alien to the King of Gothic, and he likes to be at work next to his beloved wife.
