And in an interview with "East site" With Mr. Atef Nanoua, CEO of the Moolham Voluntary Team Organization, he confirmed that the Qatari rescue teams recorded the fastest responses during the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey and worked with the best possible performance to save the stranded and recover the victims with high professionalism, explaining that the reason for the visit of a delegation from the Moolham Team to the State of Qatar is due to holding meetings with Qatari organizations and societies Which has a major role in providing a helping hand to the Syrian people, in addition to its role in building huge projects for the benefit of those affected by the devastating earthquake, stressing that the goal of coordination with Qatari organizations will make us accomplish greater work in record time.

Nanoua added that the organization does not accept any support from any country, organization or institution, and that all the donations it receives are due to donations from individuals from the Arab world, especially from Palestine, Qatar and the Gulf states, noting that a number of Qataris are constantly submitting requests for volunteer work through our website. To serve those affected by the earthquake or to help the refugees in the camps scattered in northern Syria or in Turkey.

One million and 700 thousand dollars were spent for those affected in the first week of the earthquake

Mr. Atef Nanoua explained in his interview with Qatari media website that the devastating earthquake occurred in Syria and Turkey coincided with the presence of the Molham volunteer team management in northern Syria by chance, with the aim of distributing apartments to the displaced, and they went down to the ground within hours of the earthquake, and the team was one of the first organizations Accompanied by the Civil Defense Organization (White Helmets), which was present at the disaster site to support those affected by the earthquake.

He added: We launched a campaign immediately after the earthquake, whereby donations were collected from sympathizers with the afflicted people and an emergency fund was allocated to respond to the effects of the devastating earthquake, and a hot number was allocated to all hospitals to secure all their needs in northern Syria by the Moolham volunteer team.

He pointed out that during the first week of the earthquake, one million and 700 thousand dollars were disbursed to those affected, and food and medical supplies were secured for the needy, in addition to direct cooperation with the civil defense to purchase equipment to help get those trapped from under the rubble, and a campaign was launched in the name of " able to rebuild" Which collected about 12 million US dollars, through a live broadcast from the rubble, and plans to build 2,000 residential homes within one year to compensate the earthquake victims, and construction will start within a few days.

Reconstructing new homes to shelter the homeless after the earthquake, and Mr. Atef stated that the Molham volunteer team has a number of departments, including the medical, relief and educational departments, and a special department for orphans and securing shelter. The team also launches campaigns and projects permanently and continuously according to the need. In case there is displacement, the campaigns department plays a role Important in helping people, as well as in the event of a need to sponsor orphans, the orphan department works to provide sponsored persons to take care of them, indicating that all departments work in one format, and during the recent period, that is, before the earthquake, the focus was on the shelter department, and donations were collected for the construction of homes and residential villages To shelter the displaced and transfer them from the camps to residential homes.

He added: A large fundraising campaign was organized under the title "Until the last tent" In 2021, a large amount was collected during a live broadcast, and the decision for reconstruction was actually taken, but when the apartments were handed over to the displaced and moved from the camps to the homes, the earthquake occurred, as we put forward the idea of ​​rebuilding the residential houses and returning their families to them.

Regarding projects during the coming period, the Executive Director of the Moolham Volunteering Team stated that work is underway to compensate the people affected by the earthquake, whether with prostheses for those who were injured or with residential homes for the homeless, in addition to medical projects, orphanage projects, and educational projects, as preparations are now being made. To open the largest school in the north of Syria in the village of Molham, which will be completed this year to receive approximately 1,200 students. Atef Nanoua stressed that the Molham volunteer team does not discriminate or discriminate between people in distributing aid, for everyone is equal for us because our goal is to serve the needy, orphans and the homeless, indicating that the reason for the continuity of the team’s work since 2011 until now is due to our love for our work and sincerity in it and the fight against corruption in addition to Relentless pursuit to reach the poorest and most needy families, in addition to distributing aid to those who deserve it without waste, despite the occurrence of some mistakes that we acknowledge and work to address quickly.

And about the most prominent challenges that the Moolham volunteer team faces, he said: We work in dangerous areas and there are armed military conflicts, and the Syrian regime does not differentiate between organizations working to provide charitable and humanitarian projects and between military areas, in addition to the sanctions imposed on Syria affecting us greatly, not to mention the interference of owners Military influence in the northern regions is in our work and the work of most humanitarian associations and organizations.
