The 7th World Intelligence Summit will be held from May 18 to 21 at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Thenchin). The theme of the conference is “Intelligence: The Pervasive Development Space Sustainable Development Driver”. Hosted by China, the World Intelligence Conference is an important platform for academic exchanges, exhibitions, open innovation, deeper cooperation and industrial development in the field of global intelligence. It is being organized continuously since 2017. Taking the example of autonomous driving technology, the World Intelligent Driving Challenge is an important part of the World Intelligence Summit every year. In fact, as early as the 1980s, China had already begun research on autonomous driving technology, and around 2000, China began to commercialize autonomous driving technology. With the continuous progress of technology, China’s autonomous driving technology has gradually matured. In 2015, Baidu released the self-driving car Apollo. In 2016, the Chinese government began to increase its support for autonomous driving technology, and released the “New Generation Artificial Intelligence Development Plan”, which clearly proposed to accelerate the development and application of autonomous driving technology. Today, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanchan, Shanghai and Guangzhou have realized the practical application of autonomous driving. The driverless tram has officially opened for operation, and the autonomous bus has entered normal operation. China’s self-driving has begun a large-scale production and management transformation, and self-driving is a step closer to the Chinese people.
