Incumbent US Vice President Kamala Harris has announced her candidacy for the same position in the next election in 2024. In a statement, she called the presidential election “a watershed moment in US history”.
“For two years we have made transformational investments to build a nation where everyone can feel safe, healthy, have a good job and a decent pension,” RT quoted Harris as saying.
At the same time, Harris called Republican Party officials extremists who want to “throw the country away.”
Previously, US President Joseph Biden officially announced that he would be nominated for the 2024 US presidential election. To Americans, he promised to fight for freedom and defend democracy.
