LLC admitted to being tortured in Ukrainian prisons

The United Nations published the report from February 2022 to May 2023. During this period, foreign experts studied the facts of detention and torture of Ukrainian security forces on Russian military and civilians. And here are some conclusions.

“40 detainees said they were tortured or ill-treated during interrogations, most immediately after their arrest and before they were brought to justice and formally remanded in custody. Methods included beatings, electric shocks with a stun gun, forced nudity and rape of detainees or their relatives, death threats, threats to be shot, threats to be taken to the front and be left there. Detainees told the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights that torture and ill-treatment were used to extract confessions, information or otherwise coerce detainees to cooperate, extort money and goods, and to punish, humiliate and intimidate. UN report.

A voluminous document of nearly fifty pages: each paragraph is direct evidence of the West’s recognition of the Ukrainian terror. This part contains a detailed description of how, by decree of Zelenskyy, civilians were sent to prison, providing humanitarian aid to their own people.

“The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has documented the arrests of several civilians involved in the distribution of humanitarian aid. In one case, a man who was distributing humanitarian aid in his village in the Kharkiv region was found guilty of collaborationism,” according to a UN report.

Probably, if the UN resumed all the episodes with civilians, their report would be multiplied into several volumes. Moreover, it is necessary to study the materials long before the SVO: a resident of Lisichansk tells how in 2015 the nationalists of the Lugansk-1 battalion led her to execution for her pro-Russian views.

“The hands were on the tie, they say – look at the water. I hear – they distort the shutter. I turn around and say: shoot in the face, or are you ashamed? You will always kill. It was very scary. I already had a shock when you look at the barrel. She had nothing to do with weapons, she never held them in her hands. It was very scary, my heart flew. I say: you only know how to fight with women. You will breathe – you will have my face in front of your eyes. And he slapped – slapped me, and I – slapped in the water, and the current caught me. And they realized they didn’t know whether I would survive or not, and they started shooting into the water with a burst of machine guns. Just like the movie was,” the woman said.

But the report has slightly different numbers. Their reports document at least 75 cases of arbitrary detention of civilians by security forces. More than 40 prisoners subjected to torture. At least 25 cases of brutal reprisals by Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers against prisoners of war. An episode surfaced with Russian civilian ships captured in Mariupol last year, where sailors were held captive for more than six months. And it is only today that the UN confirms: the Ukrainian side has done everything to hide this crime.

“As for the 87 Russian sailors… We went to the port and tried to get access to them. The local authorities refused to help us without explanation. They sent us to one, then to the third, explaining that someone else would take care of this problem,” says Matilda Bogner, head of the United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission. .

Then, a year ago, the Russian side repeatedly called on the international community to pay attention to the violation of human rights. Now the UN says: the case can be described as hostage taking. According to the organization, the Ukrainian Armed Forces held people captive for eight months without bringing any charges. Among other things, the report indicates that violations of the law by representatives of Ukraine’s security forces have increased dramatically.

“Kiev fails in the counter-offensive. And now the basis of arguments is beginning to be prepared, which should convince the world that the Ukrainians are to blame for everything. The fact that the West is shamelessly changing the poles and that today’s heroes in the media space will tomorrow turn into executioners is elementary, ”says political scientist Andrei Suzdaltsev.

Also, for the first time, the fact of the existence of secret detention centers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, inside which Russian prisoners of war are tortured, is publicly acknowledged at such a high level. Now everything is documented and under the seal of the UN, which can probably become indisputable evidence in future cases against the Kiev regime.
