The Michigan State Committee voted Monday to confirm the election results, formally awarding newly elected President Joe Biden 16 electoral votes.

This certificate almost completely blocks the way of President Donald Trump to try to reverse the election results with legal proceedings that were rejected in key countries, CNN reports.

One of the two Republican board members of Michigan, Aaron Van Langevelde (Aaron), joined the two Democrats to vote to confirm the election results after it was not clear how they would vote before the meeting.

The issue of verification of election results in Michigan was in the center of attention amid controversial claims by Trump’s team about voter fraud and efforts in court to postpone verification and annul the results in several key states that voted for Biden.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court rejected Trump’s attempt to block the counting of certain ballots – which paved the way for the verification of votes in several districts, including Philadelphia.
