The Expo 2023 Doha Horticultural Exhibition has signed a partnership agreement with Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport, to enhance the tourism aspect and promote this global event, which will extend over a period of six months.


Under the agreement, which was attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Subaie, Minister of Municipality and Chairman of the National Committee to host the State of Qatar for the Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha, visitors to Hamad International Airport (transit) will be allowed to visit the exhibition instead of waiting at the airport, with the aim of global promotion of the exhibition. Qatar Airways will also broadcast promotional videos about the Expo on its various flights, in addition to coordinating to attract tourist groups visiting Qatar to see the exhibition and its pavilions and events. Commenting on this partnership, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways Group and President of Qatar Tourism, said that there are a number of important events that will take place in the State of Qatar during the current year, which depend on the country’s investment in infrastructure, tourism and hotels, with the aim of Offering more specialized tourism opportunities and global sporting activities, including the Geneva International Motor Show and the Formula 1 Grand Prix. He added that the Expo 2023 Doha Horticultural Exhibition represents a substantial global addition to the agenda of major events held in the country, and the exhibition will focus on the issue of Climate change, expressing his happiness that Qatar Airways has joined the Expo as a major sponsor, under which Qatar Airways will promote the event and encourage travelers to visit it through attractive travel packages. For his part, Eng. Badr Mohammed Al Meer, Chief Operations Officer at Hamad International Airport, expressed his happiness that the airport is one of the official partners of Expo 2023 Doha for gardening. And he said: "As the main point of entry for travelers, we aim to provide those coming to Qatar with an unparalleled experience and seamless connectivity to the city of Doha and the event ". In his turn, Mr. Mohamed Ali Al-Khoury, Secretary General of Expo 2023 Doha Horticulture, said: "We look forward to starting our cooperation and partnership with Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport, which are the main drivers of tourism in the country..Tourism promotion will be a major pillar of Expo 2023 Doha for gardening, as well as thanks to the fun entertainment activities that will be available to visitors of all ages, including children and families, as the exhibition will be the event The most prominent in the State of Qatar during the period between the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024."
Al-Khoury stressed that the Horticultural Expo 2023 Doha will be the first of its kind to be held in the State of Qatar, the Middle East and North Africa, and in a country with a desert climate, pointing out that the exhibition seeks to attract more than 3 million people and receive representatives of more than 80 countries and private organizations, and that it will be a multi-platform. Parties to discuss the most pressing environmental challenges and search for solutions, with the help of experts and specialists from around the world. By signing this agreement, Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport became the latest to join the list of official partners for Expo 2030 Doha for gardening. Qatar Airways, the national carrier of the State of Qatar, is one of the most advanced airlines in the world, flying to more than 150 destinations around the world and will continue to cement the country’s position as an unparalleled travel destination and support Expo 2023 Doha Horticulture as the exclusive aviation sponsor of the exhibition. .
