In the district of Potsdam-Mittelmark, the number of people infected with the coronavirus continued to increase over the weekend. According to the district administration, as of Sunday evening, the virus was detected in a total of 97 people. On Saturday there were 93 and 88 on Friday. The focus of the infections is still in the Teltow, Stahnsdorf, Kleinmachnow and Treuenbrietzen area, it said. A total of seven people have to be cared for in the hospital, but outside the district. According to the information, one of them must continue to be ventilated.

The number of suspected cases has increased from Saturday to Sunday by four cases to a total of 713. Of these, 234 tests were negative in the course of the weekend. According to the administration, a total of 113 people are in ordered quarantine. There were 124 on Saturday and 143 on Friday.

Ziesar is still the only municipality in the district where no Corona case has yet been reported. In Kleinmachnow there were 20 cases on Saturday and 21 on Sunday. In Michendorf the number rose from 8 to 9, whereby a sick person is now considered cured. According to the administration, there are now 10 confirmed cases in Werder (Havel). First a normal bus schedule

Meanwhile, the administrative staff of the district decided, at its meeting yesterday, that the local public transport organized by Regiobus Potsdam-Mittelmark GmbH will run according to the normal timetable until the beginning of the Easter holidays. At the start of the holiday, the holiday schedule then comes into force.

The government announced yesterday that the delivery of further protective equipment had still not arrived. For this, the citizens’ commitment to manufacturing respiratory masks on their own initiative remains great. Masks had returned to the fire brigade center on Sunday so that the number now amounts to far more than 100 masks – both self-sewn and from commercial stocks. Other masks have already been given in some town halls and are being picked up.

According to their own statements, the circle has also reinforced the team on the “Corona telephone”. A total of eight employees are now available by telephone on (033841) 91 111 for questions about the coronavirus.
