Train ticket concession for senior citizens was being given facility of concession in fare by Railways, which is now being demanded to be restored for a long time. Now Indian Railways has informed that once again many people will get the benefit of concession in train fare.

Many people get a discount on rent

Let us tell you that along with Divyang and patients, students are also being given concession in rent. At the same time, before Corona, senior citizens used to get the benefit of concession in rent, but now it has stopped. A demand is being made in the Parliament regarding this.

These people get concession in rent.

Farmers, Divyang, students, wives of martyrs and award winners also get the benefit of train concession from the Railways. Apart from this, students and patients also get many types of discounts in the train. According to the Railways, the concession on the fare of senior citizens has been stopped for the time being, it can be started again in the coming time.

Railways allows free second class travel for girls from MST till graduation. On the other hand, boys from MST to class 12th can travel free of cost in second class. Madrasa children are also included under this. Apart from this, general category students get the benefit of 50 per cent concession in second and sleeper class fares.

Earlier, before March 2020, the Railways used to give 50 per cent concession in fare for women and 40 per cent for men for traveling by rail in all classes in case of senior citizens. To get this exemption from the Railways, the minimum age limit for elderly women was 58 and for men was 60 years, but after the Corona period, all kinds of concessions given to them have been abolished.
