Rights activists showed a video of a conversation between a Federal Prison Service employee and Navalny, after which he was sent to a disciplinary cell for the first time

The human rights project Gulagu.net posted a video of Vladimir’s settlement IK-6, where politician Alexei Navalny is being held. In the recording, dated August 5, 2022, a correctional officer berates an opponent for short sleeves and an unbuttoned top button on a prison uniform.
According to human rights activists, it was this “violation” that became one of the reasons for the first placement of Navalny in a disciplinary cell (SHIZO).
According to Gulagu.net, the video was filmed on the duty video recorder of the head of the detachment of the department for educational work with convicts, Captain VV Zelentsova. In the video, a Federal Prison Service officer warns Navalny that he will press charges against him for violating the dress code.
In response, the politician explains that he was given a short dress, too small for him, including the sleeves and the collar. Afterwards, an employee of the settlement touched the opponent’s uniform and noted that he was “wonderfully” sitting on it, and also said that Navalny would not have done anything during working hours.
The policy was first sent to ShIZO in August 2022. Then Navalny’s own Twitter reported that he was transferred there for unbuttoning the top button of his dress.
After that, the opponent was repeatedly sent to a punishment cell. At the same time, for some time he was there with fever and cough, he was not allowed to pass the medicine. At the same time, according to the lawyers, Navalny was treated with ShIZO with antibiotics that were contraindicated for him, due to which he had complications.
At the beginning of February, a message appeared on Navalny’s Telegram channel indicating that he would be transferred from the disciplinary cell to a closed cell type establishment (PKT) for six months, that is, for the maximum period possible.
As the Rus Sitting Foundation notes, the mode of being in the PKT is similar to the mode of being in the ShIZO. The politician’s lawyer Alexei Kobzev said Navalny’s transfer to the PKT “cannot be seen as anything other than an open strategy to destroy Navalny’s health.”
