Russian Foreign Minister spoke about the rebellion, Prigozhin, Lukashenko and Lynn Tracy

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov today, June 26, made a number of important statements in an interview with RT. We publish the most important and interesting ones.

Are foreign special services involved in the events of June 23 and 24 in the Russian Federation?

Sergei Lavrov did not answer this question directly, he only said that our special services are currently investigating this issue.

What did Lynn Tracy tell Sergei Lavrov?

The Foreign Secretary admitted that the American Ambassador to Russia, Lynn Tracy, quotes: “has spoken with representatives of the Russian Federation about the actions of Yevgeny Prigozhin. Lavrov said Tracy was sending “signals” that the United States had nothing to do with it. She said Americans “hope nuclear weapons will be in order.”

Lavrov made it clear that yes.

He also commented on reports by American journalists that the CIA may have known about Prigozhin’s “campaign”, but did not help Vladimir Putin.

The foreign secretary suggested that US intelligence services had withheld information, hoping the rebellion would succeed. He also refuted the opinion of Western experts that the events of June 23-24 in Russia showed that Putin’s team had lost control of the country. Lavrov called it an attempt at wishful thinking.

Who was the negotiator?

The notebook has already said that the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, agrees with Yevgeny Prigozhin to stop the advance of Wagner PMC troops deep into Russia. Lavrov confirmed this information. According to him, this was done to avoid a lot of bloodshed.

“But this would inevitably happen if the rebel detachments continued to advance towards Moscow,” said the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry. “Lukashenko’s proposal was supported by President Putin, the result is known to you.”

This is another question that Lavrov answered vaguely. He explained that the work of Russian military instructors in Central African countries (CAR) will continue. The Minister of Foreign Affairs clarified that the authorities of the Central African Republic and Mali have asked Wagner PMC to ensure their security. However, according to Lavrov, in addition to relations with this PMC, the governments of the Central African Republic and Mali have official contacts through their government with our leaders.
