Shooting at medical center in Atlanta, America, 1 killed

Washington: A woman was killed and four others were injured in a shooting inside a medical center in the US state of Georgia in Atlanta. All the four injured have been sent to the hospital for treatment while one died on the spot. The shooter, identified as 24-year-old Deion Patterson, remains at large. Authorities are searching for the suspect and other victims.

The Atlanta Police Department said the search is ongoing for the shooter who opened fire inside the medical center on Wednesday. According to a news agency report, the Cobb County Police Department tweeted that it received reports that the suspect may have left after the incident, so officers are looking for him.

The police department also wrote that parts of Cobb County bordering Atlanta may see a higher than usual police presence. Patterson allegedly shot five people, all women, in a waiting room on the 11th floor of the Atlanta Medical Center. One of the victims died on the spot.
