Tamil Nadu CM: Stalin leaves for nine-day visit to Singapore and Japan.

Chennai. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin left on Tuesday on a nine-day visit to Singapore and Japan and said his visit was aimed at attracting more investment in the state.

Stalin, during his similar visit to Dubai last year, had signed agreements worth Rs 6,100 crore with six investors, which would create 15,100 jobs in the state. Before leaving abroad, he told media persons at the airport, And the important purpose of the visit to Japan is to invite investors for the 2024 Global Investors Summit.

He said he would hold meetings with prospective investors through conferences and sign some agreements during his official visit. However, the main opposition All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) questioned Stalin’s foreign trip. AIADMK general secretary and leader of the opposition in the assembly K. Palaniswami alleged that in the name of investment, the Chief Minister has gone for “fun”.
