Vilnius hospitals will not provide regular services during NATO summit.
Vilnius hospitals have already announced that they will suspend routine treatment during the NATO summit on July 11-12. About eight thousand people are expected to arrive in the Lithuanian capital to take part.
The health system, as noted by the Chancellor of the Ministry of Health of Lithuania Jurgita Grebenkovene, as well as other structures of the country, are preparing for the summit. “If necessary, we will ensure the provision of medical services to many participants in the meeting”, assured the representative of the agency, announcing the suspension of the services scheduled a few days before the NATO summit and during its two days. Scheduled services are operations and miscellaneous studies when hospitalization of patients is required.
