The Armenian Foreign Ministry appealed to the Russian Federation for the withdrawal of Azerbaijani forces from the Lachin Corridor
The Armenian Foreign Ministry has called on Russia to ensure the liberation of the Lachin Corridor from the Azerbaijani army, reports TASS.
The document quoted by the agency says that the establishment of a checkpoint by Azerbaijan in Lachin is a serious violation of the 2020 Tripartite Declaration and its objective is to carry out ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The statement said that on April 23, the Azerbaijani authorities, “in clear violation of the sixth point … already officially blocked the Lachin corridor” by setting up a checkpoint “in the corridor in the area of ​​​​responsibility of the Russian forces of maintain the peace”.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan called the lack of territorial claims between Yerevan and Baku a guarantee of peace in Transcaucasia.
The Lachin Corridor connects Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, its length is 6 km.
