Zimbabwe beat USA by 304 runs, second biggest win in ODI history

In the 17th match of the World Cup Qualifiers 2023 (World Cup Qualifiers. 2023), the Zimbabwe Cricket Team defeated the USA Cricket Team by 304 runs (defeating by 304 runs) for the second biggest win in ODI history. This is the first time that Williams has played an innings bigger than 150 runs in ODIs. He has become the fourth Zimbabwean batsman to reach the 150-run mark in ODIs. He has become the third highest individual scorer for Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe scored more than 400 runs (408/6) in ODI cricket for the first time. Earlier, his highest score was 351/7, which he made against Kenya in 2009.

Zimbabwe opener Joylord Gumby, playing his fourth ODI, scored his maiden half-century. He played an inning of 78 runs in 103 balls. He also hit 5 fours in his half-century innings. Gambi, who was batting well, returned to the pavilion as the second wicket on the score of 216 runs. He has now scored 169 runs in 4 matches at an average of 42.25 and a strike rate of 71.31.

Zimbabwe has registered its biggest win (in terms of runs) in ODI history.

Earlier, Zimbabwe’s biggest win was against Kenya by 202 runs, which they achieved in 1999. This is only the second time that a team has won an ODI by a margin of more than 300 runs. Apart from Zimbabwe, the Indian cricket team achieved a historic 317-run win against Sri Lanka this year.
