Berlin – The alternative sports program of the Bundesliga in the Corona compulsory break went into its third round on Saturday.
In the “Bundesliga Home Challenge” with the soccer simulation FIFA 20, RB Leipzig won the top game against Borussia Dortmund. Leipzig’s professional Nordi Mukiele made the 6: 2 of the Saxons perfect with his 3: 2 against BVB defender Leonardo Balerdi. Previously, Leipzig’s e-athlete Ajdin “eyedin98” Islamovis won 3-0 against Dortmund’s FIFA YouTuber Erné Embeli.
Borussia Mönchengladbach and VfL Wolfsburg were also able to cheer. The Gladbachers won with young professional Louis Hiepen and e-athlete Richard «Der_Gaucho10» Hormes 8-3 against Eintracht Frankfurt. The Wolfsburg won 7: 3 against Werder Bremen.
Bayer 04 Leverkusen, FC Schalke 04 and 1. FC Köln were both defeated by second division teams: The Cologne team suffered a 3-6 defeat against VfL Bochum. The Schalke lost 5: 9 to Hannover 96. The worst hit was Leverkusen: The team lost to VfB Stuttgart with 4:11. Second division professional Atakan Karazor secured VfB victory with an 8-0 win against Leverkusen’s Nadiem Amiri.
Arminia Bielefeld and SpVgg Greuther Fürth also cheered from the 2nd Bundesliga. The Arminen won 8-3 against SSV Jahn Regensburg, Fürth defeated Holstein Kiel 8: 4 in the last game of the day.
Under the motto “Stay Home … and play!” the DFL organizes the FIFA 20 event with 30 teams from the area of the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga. Officially, however, the event is not included in a sports rating.
